You'll see distinctly different stages of the tide and fish several kinds of water. If conditions line up, we're on the flats, hunting and stalking.

Southern Maine and the New Hampshire Seacoast. We hunt fish we can see, from the poling platform of a Maverick 18, and I'll teach you to see them too.
Mud flats
Where it started for me. Stripers cruise the flats in skinny water, feeding on shrimp and crabs, and we pole along in 18 inches of water looking for them. Challenging, and very rewarding when it comes together.
Rocky coast
We drop the trolling motor and work the granite coast pocket by pocket. Every pocket of wash can hold a fish, and the bass that live there run darker, adapted to the rocks.
Rivers & estuaries
In spring, stripers follow river herring and eels up into the headwaters of the Piscataqua to feed after their long migration up the coast. Beaches and marsh round out the season.

Casting instruction, the mental game, and shallow water sight fishing tactics. Teaching is one of my favorite ways to spend time in this sport.
When to book, and when to come.
Most of my summer books in January and February. Stripers are here from mid-May through October, and June into early July is my favorite stretch: new fish showing up every week, and a great time for big ones in shallow water.

Fish with me somewhere else.
